Bhat-Bhateni Super Market is a leading Supermarket and Departmental Store chain in Nepal and the highest tax payer in the sector for the last five consecutive years with more than 10,000 customers daily. There are currently two stores conveniently located in central Kathmandu and Maharajgunj, and a further five stores are due to open shortly in Kathmandu Valley and across the country. The company requires following candidates for its existing branches and also for new outlets opening shortly.
1. Post Title: Operation Manager
The Candidate should have at least Bachelor Degree in Business Management with 5 years in hand experience or Master Degree in Business Management with 3 years professional experience in related field. The ideal Candidate should have pleasant personality, good communication and leadership skills. He/She directly supervise Sales Supervisors, Sales associates and are also responsible for the operation of the store. He/She acquire the necessary knowledge of management principles and practices they will need. He/She must know the basic policies and procedures of the company as well as merchandising skills and customer service. It is essential that Operation Managers must be computer literate and having a sound knowledge of inventory control systems. It is important that Operation Manager get along with all types of people. They need to be self-disciplined, decisive, have good judgment, and ingenuity. Because both employees and customers can be very demanding at time, it is very important for Operation Managers to be patient and mild mannered. The ability to organize, motivates, and directs the work of their subsidiaries, as well as a capacity to communicate clearly and persuasively with customers. It is quite common for individuals who display team-building skills, leadership skills, self-confidence, determination, and motivational skills to become good Managers. Operation Managers may go on to work in areas of advertising; promotions, marketing and public relations. They are also monitoring sales and propose advertisement and promotions to the Managing Director/Operational Head.
2. Post Title: Sales Supervisor
The candidate should have at least Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Preferably MBA/MBS) from a reputed university. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in FMCG Business. Sales supervisors are often responsible for the management of salespersons, cashiers, customer representatives, wholesalers and institutional buyers. The main responsibility of sales supervisors for retail establishments is to guarantee satisfactory service and quality goods to their customers. In addition, they are required to deal with customer’s complaints, answer questions, and purchasing issues. Sales Supervisors establish and implement policies, objectives, goals, and procedures for their particular departments. Also, they organize activities with other department heads, and continually strive for easy and efficient operations within their floors/departments. Sales supervisors also clean and organize various shelves and displays, attend to inventory work in stockrooms, inspect merchandise to ensure that nothing is damaged or outdated. In addition, Sales supervisors coordinate sales promotions, review inventory and sales records, and develop merchandising techniques.
3. Post Title: Finance Officer
Bachelor’s degree in business management (preferably MBA/MBS) and have had at least 3 years professional experience in computerized accounting system. The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services in order to meet legislative requirements. The Finance Officer reports to Chief Administrator and is responsible for financial statements, maintaining cash controls, preparing the payroll and personnel administration, purchasing, maintaining accounts payable and managing office operations. Good knowledge of income tax, vat and other statutory laws is mandatory.
